Posted:Friday, September 19 2008, 16:21:14 | Recently we had the misfortune of having to make a claim under the luggage section. 1Cover (actually Modial) has the clause "When calculating the amount payable we will apply depreciation due to age, wear and tear.The amount of such depreciation will be determined by us."
They determined the depreciation all right... 85%. We got back 15% of our claim. They did send a disputes pamphlet along with the cheque. Must know what comes next.
The claim also took 2 months and several LONG calls to Australia from NZ.
For peace of mind - pay a little more and go to a reputable company. |
