Bad experience
Rating: Author: Nicole Huber Posted:Friday, March 28 2008, 15:29:37 | | I ordered about 20 items from Gurney's on 2/29/08. I used the order form from the catalog and sent it in on that day. The catalog was originally addressed to my father in law, but I wrote down all of my information on the order form. My order came to almost $70.00 and after the $25.00 coupon it came to $52.60. That check went thru my checking account on 3/10/08. No one can find my order and no one can seem to find the check that was obviously cashed by their bank. I wrote to customer service multiple times and if they wrote me back at all they never told me anything useful what so ever. I have also been on the phone with real people multiple times. Apparantly it seems that there is no record of my order because it was sent to some one else. For a company this large to goof up that bad seems pretty unprofessional if you ask me. Its not that hard. You see the customers address written down on the order form and that is where you send the product. Also, I have been asked to send in a copy of my check, thats fine, but you mean to tell me that you have no records of payments you have both recieved and cashed. What urks me the most is that I live in a very desolate area. Its not like I can just run to walmart or where ever real quick and buy the things I ordered from some one else. I'm looking at like a two and a half hour drive to get the things I want for my garden. And if I had known this two weeks ago when I WAS in the city I could have gotten everything then. I had originally thought about placing my order with Gurney's one more time along with the copy of my check, but after looking at ther other reviews I will not be doing that. They have like 158 positive reviews, 158 negative reviews, and sixty some neutral reviews. So basicly when you look at that I have less than a 50% chance of being a satisfied customer. The woman I talked to today said that there are a lot of people who are angry right now because the orders have been sent out and people still have snow on the ground and what not. But all the bad reviews I read had nothing to do with that. They were all about people who have not recieved all or part of their order and/or had seeds and plants that were no good. One woman even got sent some products that were infested with bugs that inturn infested her home!!! Yes, they will give me my money, and yes they will replace any bad products, but I am not willing to risk being one to two months behind on my garden because I am either waiting for my order or waiting for replacement products to arrive. I will not be ordering from this or any company affilliated with them again. And I will also be passing this knowledge on to people that I know who might be thinking about ordering. Its a joke as far as I am concerned. You people had better start getting your ducks in a row unless you want to start losing business. I know that you have lost mine. |
