RIP OFF
Rating: Author: L.A. Stevens Posted:Friday, November 28 2008, 19:47:21 | On Nov. 21, 2008 I purchased a tree from ChristmasTreesGalore.com. When I went through the checkout process, I had a choice of taking free shipping and receiving the tree by Dec. 2, 2008 or paying roughly 61.00 and receiving the tree by Nov. 28, 2008. Today, November 28, 2008, when I did not receive the tree, I tracked the shipment and found that, though I paid the roughly 61.00 for shipping, I am not going to receive the tree until Dec. 2 - the same date by which I could have received the tree for free!!! I paid the extra money to have the tree up for an event on Sunday, December 1 -- an early Christmas party which my handicapped cousin and others from his group home will be attending.
I called ChristmasTreesGalore and they have refused to refund my shipping fee. Not only are they refusing, but they refuse to give me any information telling me how I can further pursue a refund of my shipping fees. I asked for an e-mail telling me how to contact someone at the company who could reconsider the request for a refund. They refused to send an e-mail, give me a phone number or a name of someone else with whom I might speak. The only customer service offered was with a woman named TRAVIS who barely spoke English. She kept telling me the tree was out of stock and I would have to wait for it even though FedEx picked up the tree on Nov. 25 for delivery. FedEx shows the tree arriving in Nashville on the 26th and there is no information on the tree after that date.
This is one of the worst Christmas purchases I've ever made online and I would NEVER deal with this company again. I now have to try to seek a refund of shipping fees from PayPal or FedEx.
If you don't want to get ripped off... don't deal with this company.
